multiplayer menu does not show friends playing or squads ps4

for the past months i cannot see any friends on my multiplayer menu and now the same issue with squads. they all see me, but i cannot see anyone. it is frustrating because the only way to join friend...

Done exactly the same I even installed a brand new 2tb hdd and bought a digital copy of the game but still squads are broken can't see or join any friends squads. Now it looks like bf1 is rolling out on the same platform please fix this it's a great game but no good if it's broken!
