Well, it does look kind of like that. How do I take it out of metro mode? Make it change out of the skinny jeans and wipe off the eye makeup?
Right click IE in the fancy "modern UI/metro" mode and click "pin to taskbar", if you click the new IE icon when you are on the desktop it should start in desktop mode. If that doesn't work this should help you: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/use-desktop-mode-in-internet-explorer-10/
