Naval Strike Launch, Access And Delay Information Thread

Ok, everyone I have created this thread for this problem. As soon as we get some information, we will let you all know here.

Post only here and dont create more threads about this problem. The ones that are already created will be merged here.

We will try to give you information as soon as possible, please be patient. 

I will stick this for now, for everyone to see.

Ok I have merged all the threads that have the same problem, please stick to this one if you have the same problems. Any other created will be merged by me, or someone else. Thank you for your understanding and please be patient as still there is no updates. Stay tuned for more information.

UPDATE: We wanted to provide more detail about the delay of Battlefield 4 Naval Strike. We have delayed the PC version of Naval Strike because we are concerned that the combination of the pack and planned PC updates would increase performance issues on mid-range to high-end PCs. We are working hard to resolve that issue now. Additionally, we have decided to delay the Xbox One version of Naval Strike because we want to address issues in the animation system that hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations.

We know that many Battlefield 4 Premium owners wanted to play Naval Strike today. However, we didn’t want to release the new content until we believed it was quality content.

We are trying to resolve these problems as quickly as possible and hope to release the update in early April for Xbox One and PC. We also want to remind Xbox One and PC owners of Battlefield 4 Premium that they will have two weeks early access for Naval Strike once it’s released. Thanks for your continued patience and passion for our games.

    Hello everyone, this thread is now locked, as the problem has been solved. It will stay sticked a few more days, till Naval Strike is out and then will be unsticked.

    @zeusshadow Its not out yet for most. Only some people in Europe have it for PS4. What region do you live in? I can tell you an approxamate time for release.

    I am a premium member on Xbox One in the UK and I also cannot download Naval Strike despite today being the release date.

    Hello, 

    I bought Battlefield 4 premium partly because I would recieve the DLC 2 weeks early. Today I find out that promise is being broken.

    My question is: can you just do this without any compensation? I'm pretty sure you can't just get people to pay for something and then not give it to them

    Please explain.

    They lied about the release date for PC, so no wonder they would lie about quality being a priority.

    You can still easily get it two weeks ealier than everybody else on pc. Since they had to postpone the pc release for premium users they will most likely postpone the release for everybody else on pc as well, I think. That should cover the promise at least.

    I have this problem too. Everytime BF4 gets a new map, the updater refuses to work right. I'm wondering, do you have mutiple hard drives like I do?

    My fix for this problem is to unistall the BF4 game through Origin, and re-download the game entirely. I'm doing this right now, as usual the update for a new map failed again. This happened last time a Map update happened. It was fixed complety with the aforementioned fix, as decribed above.

    I'm beginning to think this may be a bios problem, as I installed the mutiple hard drives myself, without any help from a PC Tech. I do know if the Bios is not set just right for mutiple hard drives, this problem will be ongoing, as most updates will always try to find the C:\  drive everytime. Ea does not provide any options it seems, for which hard drive you want the update to go to? With this in mind, and if you have mutiple H/D's like I do, then the update will always try to default to the C:\ drive...

    I listed a fix for this on the first reply up top. It seems on the PC that if you have mutiple hard drive, there is no option on which drive you can install BF4 on. You must always let the Origin installer pick it.

    For PC's with mutiple H/D's this can be  tricky. All of the update for BF4 have previously failed when Updated through Origin updater.

    The only fix for this with the PC with mutiple H/D's that have not been installed by a Tech, ( ist a Bios thing I found out) , is for  the BF4 Owner for Unistall/Reinstall the game entirely through the Origin game installer.

    The problem with PC's with mutiple H/D's can be solved, by taking the PC to a Techy, and getting the Bios setting set properly, but that may cost money right? I have more time than money, ha ha, so the reinstall works best for me? Or maybe I need to read/learn more about Bios setting?

    If you have a PC with mutiple H/D's like I do, then try a uninstall/reinstall through the Origin Game Launcher. The PC with mutiple HD's, or the Bios setting on occasion, fail to find the right place for an update, so, sometimes a reinstall of any game will fix the problem...

    Works everytime for me.
