EA may call it Battlefield, but based on BF2042 and where that has brought us, then there won't be another Battlefield.
@CyberDymeThat's the sad thing. It's anyone's guess at this point. All the marketing around this game indicated a return to form, and it's really not. So hopes of a Bad Company 3, etc.?
I think we have to realize that it's been 10 years since the peak of Battlefield. Just like it had been 10 years for Battlefront. And just like Battlefront, clearly DICE is more concerned with anything but the tried and true formula that fans want. It's as if they view the gameplay as archaic, when in reality it's far superior to what they've been doing.@CyberDymeTo be honest, I only bought into this one because of the 128 players. I was curious enough and liked the beta enough to go with the standard edition.
In 2 to 3 years, we will be getting next level stuff from Sony and Microsoft and these third party MTX slot machines will be in serious trouble. The next Battlefield won't even register with me. Halo Infinite is already off to a great start, plus MS has others on the way. Hot rumors have been that Sony might be resurrecting Killzone or even Socom.@ArchAngeL-PCXthat killzone was some epic * back in the day. Would love to see it make a return
@ghinaviruskillzone was made by guerilla games, they took another direction with the horizon going all action adventure RPG. the next horizon game is in development so i don't think killzone will make a return anytime soon.
that said, horizon is pretty damn good! 😛
