No weapons in Battlefield 3 after spawning. Very hard to get kills without weapons.

Could you tell us on which system you are playing BF3? It makes a difference if you are playing on PC, Xbox or PS3. As soon as we got some details, our community can start to look for some workarounds.

I just bought this game and I am having the same problem and more with Battlefield 3 and have yet to find a solution.  I am running Battlefield 3 Limited Edition on a ps3.

Here are my issues:

- In multiplayer, no weapon is equipped when I spawn.  Changing or picking up a weapon still won't equip a weapon.

- In multiplayer, when the round ends, the games hangs on a black screen with a little square in the corner blinking. Let run for about 5 minutes before shutting ps3 down.

- When I die in campaign, the game freezes on the loading screen, with just the little square in the corner blinking.  Again, I let it run for about 5 minutes before shutting it down.

-  In campaign, when I pick up a weapon, I lose both guns.  I.E., no gun comes into frame and pressing the change weapon button does nothing.  Also, I am unable to melee when this happens.

-  I'm sure there are others, but I can't get far enough into the game to find them

So far, I have deleted the game data off the ps3 and re-installed twice.  I've heard this is a good game and want to give it a fair chance, but I can't do it if the game won't run.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have resolved the issue myself.  I went ahead and re-installed a third time and that "fixed" the problem.  I haven't had the problems I've had before with the weapons not appearing.  So, it appears to be a problem with the game not installing properly.

Now my issue is the game freezing my playstation during a multiplayer match or right as it ends.  It also freezes after playing for about 5-10 minutes on campaign as well.

A quick search online shows that the freezing is a common problem, with it being predominately in the limited edition version of the game and with people buying premium.  It also seems that there is no fix for the freezing issue.  My concern is that it freezing during a load or save point, it could potentially damage or corrupt the playstation and/or hard drive.  So I will be returning the game when the store opens today.

The frustrations I've had with this game in the 4 days I've owned it will keep the Battlefield franchise off my list of games to buy for the foreseeable future.  I know one customer doesn't make much of a difference, but I will not waste any more time or money on a game that continues to be broken for so many for so long without a solution.

hi guys, ive been playing game since launch,yes its buggy at times but stick with it and its a very good game. ive found that some servers seem to be broke so i lag and crash sometimes. ive put it down to the servers not the game as it doesnt freeze on co-op or campaign.

I am playing on PS3 or should I say, trying to play.

I dont mind the freezing as much as the spawning without weapons as this happens all the time. How can we buy BF4 with any confidence? WE CANNOT SO DONT BUY IT TILL THEY FIX THE BUGS IN BF3.

When I spawn with no hands and no weapon, I hit the button to switch weapons (Triangle on PS3, “Y” on Xbox, and whichever key you bound to swap weapons on PC), the game will hesitate slightly and my hands will appear with my pistol.  I hit the button again and it swaps at normal speed to my primary weapon.  This works every time for me
