one shot kills with sniper

Hello guys

Ive been thinking about this for some time now, trying to come up with an explanation for this feature to be in the game. For those of you who dont know you can one shot kill an opponent at certain distances with any sniper rifle. I just cant figure out why DICE would give people another excuse to camp at 120m from the objective. This feature has lead to an huge increase in scouts in-game. I believe this should be ajusted. Because no one likes getting one shotted by a guy u cant even see or shoot back. Also no one likes for their teammates to be at 120m away from the objective just beeing useless. Its counter productive to a game that is so focused on objective play. If people want to be good snipers they have to know how to aim for the head. It makes no sense that the same bullet deals more damage from a far than up close. While support weapons are complete trash even against pistols up close.

Basicaly remove the feature or make the sweet spot make like 95 damage or something. But this one shot kill system is just awful and encouraging beeing a long long way from the objective.

Thank you for reading

Hello @theweeddoctor23 and thank you for this feedback on Battlefield 1. I can totally see your point there, snipers can be really annoying, but on the other hand, snipers are some of the most skilled players, and to strip them of one shot-one kill feature, would not make much sense.

    Cheers,

  • Hello

They wouldn't be stripped of it, if they want one shot kills they have to prove their skills by getting a headshot. There is almost no skill involved on shooting someone in the body from 100 meters or something. True skill is headshots.

    Cheers

Well, there are always two part of players. Some like thinks and others don't.
I'm personally not a fan of the sweet spot system in BF1 but pretty sure some others love it.

Not everyone focus on Headshots only to shoe their Skills, some players just wanna get the kill at all.
So, just give the people who like to play the Sniper Class a sweet spot to have a better chance for Kills on middle distance too. Cause some LMG's and Medic Weapons are really good for middle - long range too. 😉
