There is a serious flaw in EA's network if these many russians hacked into all sorts of accounts.
There was definitely a security breach, and EA has decided to keep quiet about it out of shame.
Most reputable companies freaking alert their customers when **bleep** like this goes down so they can do things to protect themselves, but EA just sweeps it under the rug. It's not my fault your servers are porous and poorly secured EA!
Now some evil identity thief in Russia knows more about me than I care to make public!!!!!

I woke up this morning to an email saying that my Origin password has changed. (I haven't used this account in months, since Mass Effect 3 came out) I immediately went to origin's site and hit "forgot password" and used the link in the email to change it to something ridiculously complex.
Several hours later, I got another email saying that someone requested a password reset. Changed my email password just in case and looked closer at my Origin account and the security question is in Russian.
I'm waiting on the live chat now, estimated hour wait. Hopefully they can change it back.
Edit: they were able to succesfully change my security question. At least I was lucky enough to stop this before they changed my email address.
