Origin could not start up (-5ffdfff8): The Origin installation couldn't be found

....had this game for about a year now...this is the first time this message has come up.  I cannot launch the game because of this.  I transferred all my game files to my SSD a few weeks ago and haven't had any issues until today.  Any ideas...?

  • Sorry but it is most likely a file corrupt in the process try this though,

    1) Open My Docs and delete the folder called Battlefield 4

    2) Repair Battlefield 4,

    Repair your game,
    1) Go to My Games in Origin
    2) Right-click the game image
    3) Select "Repair Install"

    3) Start game, first few games may crash.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid that, but I'm was about to do just that when I decided to check on this topic to see if anyone could figure anything out.

See - the only thing I didn't try was deleting the BF4 folder and then repairing.  I repaired a few times, but it never fixed it.  I already uninstalled and started the installation process over again.  Thanks though.
