[PC] Battlefield 4 automatically saves and closes.

Maybe these can help you finding the problem I have.

I'd hoped this would fix my problem, but it didn't.

I have done another test to provide you with more info.

It is NOT account related, I have tried to play the game on a different computer (laptop) with my account.

Everything went perfect, I could play the game without it automatically closing.

+ It is not PunkBuster, as I have updated the files for Battlefield 4 and still have the same problem on my desktop.

Try the repair install in bf4 game client in origin just press your bf4 game icon and press repair install that shod solve it if it does not then

Game closing problems like this are often related to Punkbuster and Battlelog plugins if it only happens in multplayer.

Seeing as you've updated Punkbuster (and made sure BF4 is added to it https://help.ea.com/uk/article/punkbuster-technical-issues )  you could try re-downloading and installing the latest Battlelog plugins.

First uninstall the old Battlelog plugin by going to windows "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" and removing "battlelog web plugin".
Then log in to Origin and go to battlelog page where you'll be prompted to download the latest web plugin.

After you have installed it you should clear your cache, exit your browser. Then restart your browser, and then re-login to Origin to ensure proper install. 
If this doesn't work then you should try a different browser (Chrome/Maxthon/Firefox, etc)

Can you play ok in single player?

If not then check the following:

-Update your Microsoft .NET framework.

-Reinstall DirectX. 
1:go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\directx\redist
2:Find file named DXSETUP.exe and double click it (while connected to the internet). Install it. It should update your DirectX install. 
3: You might need to reboot computer first.
4: try to launch game.

-Reinstall C++ redistributables.
1:go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist
2: Double click vcredist_x64.exe/ vcredist_x86.exe and follow onscreen prompts.

For a moment I thought it did, because I could play for about 5 to 10 minutes, but I think my PC is fooling me 😛

PS: I also installed the latest patch that was released today, so that didn't work either.

EDIT: Ok, first it looked like it worked, but now I have it again. I'm really getting tired of this...

I have send a complaint to EA about the fact that I could not play Battlefield 4 properly and they responded to my mail with some steps to help me.

Before you try all of these, just go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 (or wherever your game directory is), rightmouse click on bf4.exe and/or bf4_x86.exe and select Properties. Afterwards,go to the Compatibility tab and set Run this program as an administrator ACTIVE. Maybe this could fix it.

But, if this small step didn't help, go for this full step by step program EA gave me:

1. Open Origin, rightmouse click on the game logo (Battlefield 4) and select "Delete Game".
2. Next, go to 'Start' in the search box at the bottom type 'CMD', then rightmouse click and choose 'Run as administrator'.
3. In the command window type following: net user administrator / active: yes, then press enter.
4. Start your PC in Clean Boot mode. Find how on the following page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796
5. Log on to the Administrator account.
6. Then, turn of UAC in Windows 7 like this: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off
7. Download Driver Sweeper and CCleaner. Please note that these are external applications, use at your own risk.

8. Open Driver Sweeper and select 'AMD Display' and 'Nvidia Display'. Press 'Clean'.
9. Open CCleaner and press 'Run Cleaner'. Afterwards, go the 'Register' tab and press 'Scan for problems'.
10. Next, open Origin and download and install the game without using a DVD disk (if you bought the disk). To do this, rightmouse click on the game and choose 'Download'.
11. When everything is installed, restart your PC.
12. Update your video drivers manually first. You can do this by rightmouse clicking on 'My Computer', select 'Properties' and in the left panel you choose 'Device Manager'. Search for your graphics card in 'Display adapters' and rightmouse click on the graphics card. Now select 'Update Driver Software' and after that 'Search automatically for updated driver software'.
13. When the driver has updated, restart your PC again.
14. Download and install the correct video drivers from your manufacturer: http://www.amd.com/uk/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx or http://www.nvidia.com/content/global/global.php
15. At last, restart your PC again and try to play Battlefield 4 🙂

Hey dude, are you still having this problem? I was having the exact same issue. I fixed mine by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\ folder, right clicked bf4_x86, went to properties, clicked the compatibility tab, and in the privilege level bit i ticked run as administrator. I did the same thing with the bf4 non _x86 launcher just to be sure.

I havent had the issue since. Hope this helps 🙂

Yes I did that, you can see it in my previous post. First it looked like it worked, because I could play for a while, but when I joined a new server it came back.
