[PC] BF4 Join Party not working

Hi all,

Me and my friend have recently bought BF4 in the sale.

We cannot get the "join party" to work at all.

We can both see our names in the party menu but when we click on the invite button; nothing happens. We both checked that notifications of our Origin clients were enabled correctly and they are. Both clients are version 10.5.8.17910 - 0 running on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Are we doing something wrong?

We had Squad working (he's currently missing the screen but I sent him instructions on how to fix that). Currently we let one of us join a game. The other can then click the triangle icon to join their game inside the Origin client, if we are not using the squad method.

@pete_agreatguy The new origin load out is over a year old and still broken lol and junk ported from console to PC it is a battle in BF1 to get it to work correct , just my view pure trash lol. I use it in BF1 as it is the only way to play BF1 but in BF4 you have no need to use it as stated by @SiNsOfThEDeViL just to add to his post do this...

    1- Log into origin

2- Open browser and log into battlelog http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/

3- Join a server though battlelog

  • Hi @pete_agreatguy

As far as I know the 'Party' thing is kinda new so it might have some bugs that will be fixed in the future, until then just find a server and once you're in it invite your friend to join. I honestly don't know and I have never used the Party mode usually i just go with the old method which I just told you and in my opinion works the best. If you don't know how to invite your friends over to the server well once in-game open Origin by clicking Shift+F1

Then go to Friends and a little window should appear that will show all of your friends then click a little arrow next to their name and click Invite Game and they should be invited (this is the method if you're launching BF4 trough Origin)

If you're playing BF4 with BattleLog then once you select the server you want to play on then you will see alot of different options, you will see an option 'Invite' once you click on it then simply select a friend or friends you want to invite to your game and then click OK and the invite should be sent immediately.

Well I hope this helps a little

Thanks for the replies guys. Apologies on the lateness of mine - I've been busy.

We will continue to use the Squad up function seen as that is working most of the time (with the occasional time where he has to delete his files in the documents directory to fix the disappearing screen).

Let's hope that EA fix this Origin party feature soon 🙂
