[PC] GPU Low Performance Mode Due To Web Based Game Launching

 

I'll make this simple for you - if everyone is aware of this issue, then I apologize for bringing it up again.

 

- Open Origin
- Launch Battlefield (Any Version)
- Web-Browser Opens to Battlelog

 

RESULT:
GPU usage drops below default clock speeds due to a web-browser being open to a flash based webpage (the page from which to load the game).
- Resulting in horrible performance and frame rates.
----------------------------------

 

WORK AROUND/FIX:
Launch game from web browser
Check Task Manager and when the Battlefield *.exe game executable loads (example BFH.exe for Battlefield:Hardline)
Simply close all open web browsers - including the one from which you launched the game.

 

RESULT: GPU's operate at full potential and Overclocked settings can be utilized as well.
- Have a look for yourself with any GPU monitoring software- check the difference between running these games with the web-based browser launcher open and then close the browser and watch your GPU clock speeds go back to high performance mode.

 

So the QUESTION:
Why did you create a system that limits GPU performance on many, many systems?? - I'm sure you wonder why you have 42 pages of search results regarding Low GPU Speed on your forums.

 

DO NOT RELY ON WEB BROWSERS to deliver the executable for your games - you morons. Allow other software to determine the fate of your software... genius move.

 

One more point - My BFH Campaign is frozen inside a Plane Turret on Episode 8 and will not load - which has been an issue since March - search your forums - its amusing.
 

 

I would seek a refund - but, why bother.

 

I just won't buy another product from you again.

 

My GPU - XFX R9 280x Black Edition
OS: Windows 10
Default Browser: Microsoft Edge

 

I haven't bothered to test other browsers - not worth my time... can't even progress past Episode 8 anyhow.
