PC won't shut down after playing BF3!

Here's my problem: I'll be playing BF3 but when the time comes to switch off my PC it just won't. I'll click shut down (log off and restart have no effect as well, however I can switch user) and abso...

Yup, they're up to date. What effect would reinstalling origin have? I'll try it anyway.

    A good 15 minutes, the thing is it doesn't even say it's shutting down, everything just minimises and I can open anything.

      After some troubleshooting, I have found that EA Core Server is the culprit, it refuses to be killed, any solutions?

        could be problems with servers try later...
