Phantom Operative Assignment Won’t Unlock - Can no Longer Interact With Document

Question

The Phantom Operative assignment is still locked after 3 times going down into the Phantom room

- First time I went down, two people who had the Phantom Operative tags assisted me.
- Because of this, the match was “Waiting for players, 3/4”
- I grabbed the Phantom Bow, then I went on top of the cabinet and interacted with the secret documents. After pressing x to interact with the documents, the audio cue that can be heard by everyone went off. But the Phantom operative Assignment never showed up on the top of my screen with its badge.
- After leaving the match, the assignment is not visible in my DLC Assignments.
- On Battlelog, the Phantom Assignment is greyed out, and still shows “?” next to it.
- Gaining kills with the bow does not make the assignment increase or even show in the after-battle screen where you can see your assignment progress.

- Second time down was with 4 people this time, since my train of thought was that the “Waiting for players 3/4” messed it up the first time.
- This time, I tried getting the documents first. They are no longer interactable.
- Then I picked the Phantom Bow up from the middle, and tried again. Still not interactable.

- Contacted customer support. They suggested I clear my Alternate MAC address, Hard restart my console, and reinstall 100% of the game, including DLC and premium.
- They also suggested to log off of Battlelog and re-log in.
- Did 100% of this, Assignment still does not show up.

-Third time down into the Phantom room with 4 people again after doing all the trouble shooting
- What is different this time is that I DON’T have the Phantom bow equipped going down the elevator. The previous two attempts, I had the bow equipped on my character before even being in the Phantom room. I used the Oepration Outbreak method of easily unlocking the bow before doing the Phantom assignments.
- Again, I try interacting with the documents BEFORE I picked up the bow in the middle. Didn’t work
- Went to pick up the bow in the middle and tried to interact with the documents again, still didn’t work.

Side notes:
- First trip down, bow was equipped on my character, but I still grabbed the bow in the middle of the room first before interacting with the documents.
- Second trip down, bow was equipped on my character. I tried grabbing documents before picking bow up in the middle of the room. Then I picked the bow up in the middle and tried interacting again.
- Third trip down, bow was NOT equipped on my character. I tried grabbing the documents while holding my primary weapon. Then I grabbed the bow in the middle and tried grabbing the documents again.

It seems I am really glitched. There are a lot of ancient posts about this subject on this help forum. There has been three solutions from what I have been able to find.

Solution 1.) Go down into the Phantom room again. Maybe I’m just not interacting with it properly, as the angle has to be right.
- I know this isn’t the case, because I spent 10 minutes trying to interact with the document, constantly moving around it and trying to get the button to appear.

Solution 2.) The Assignment is simply bugged on Battlelog. If you unlocked it, you will see the assignment progressing in the after battle report menu under assignments.
- Tested this on multiple matches where I got bow kills. Phantom Operative assignment has never once shown up in the after battle report where it showed progress towards the assignment. It seems the assignment is still truly locked.

Solution 3.) Get a Battlelog or Dice employee to manually investigate and manually unlock it for you.
- Looks like this is the option I am going to need. Does anyone know how to get ahold of anyone or bring attention to this thread?

Hi&nbsp;@Futilelyte,You seem really to have tried hard and persistently also to become a full fledged Phantom Operative - so big applause for that !!&nbsp;I do though note several aspects of your attempts to go down in the bow room that will deem them futile.E.g. the server you try it on has to be in full normal game mode.You should be 4 players going down together.It is correct you don't all need to be newbies and full fledged Phantom Operatives can stand in to replace the tag combos you might be missing among the newbies going in.Don't equip your soldier with the pick-up bow as primary weapon, as it will disturb your ability to distinct if you now picked it up in the bow room or not.In any case, could not find your solider online in BattleLog with the soldier name you quoted?Please post a link to it in BattleLog, so we can check&nbsp;your progress on the Phantom program.&nbsp;

So to clarify, my first attempt was a “waiting for players 3/4” normal conquest server. The next two attempts were in normal match conquest servers with at least 4 players and the game clock was ticking down (meaning they were real matches and not waiting matches.I have done the Phantom room once again since posting this help request. The criteria of this one was that I did not have the bow equipped going down. It was on a normal conquest with at least 4 players and the match was active. I picked the bow up first and then tried interacting with the documents. Still not interactable.In order to eliminate all doubt that it is simply a Battlelog glitch and it can actually be unlocked by simply doing the assignment, I did all the criteria today. I went overkill just for safe measure. I’m at 225 bow kills and 96 now headshots. The tags never unlocked, which indicates it’s not simply the Battlelog bug and the assignment is still locked.I’m thinking a combination of grabbing the documents while I had the bow equipped to my character and not picking the bow up in the middle of the room and the fact that it was on a 3/4 waiting for players server has somehow bugged it from being able to work for me.Another thing that is tripping me out is that when I hit the pause button while in game, I can see the Phantom Operative badge alongside with the other three Phantom assignment badges and Premium icon in the lower left of the screen. To confirm, getting bow kills in matches does not bring up Phantom Operative assignment in the post-match progress bar. I have over 200 bow kills and over 50 bow headshots since I’ve gotten into the Phantom room and no assignment or tag reward popped up. On the main menu, under the soldier tab and assignments tab, I only am able to see the first three Phantom assignments. The Phantom Operative isn’t even visible. On Battlelog, the Phantom Operative assignment is darkened out and has a “?” next to the criteria.Hopefully some sort of solution exists that I/we haven’t thought of yet. But if we are unable to problem solve it, do I have any hope of contacting a Dice employee or developer to manually look into it and manually unlock it? If proof is an issue, I can provide photos of my bow kill progress, and I also have taken several videos of me in the Phantom room with my Gamertag visible in the bottom left that I can supply as evidence.Again, thank you for the help.

Hi again&nbsp;@Futilelyte,Forget all about that you have already picked up the Phantom bow or whatever how many kills or what you have with it.&nbsp; It doesn't matter.Your Phantom Operative assignment is not yet unlocked.&nbsp; That is what you need to accomplish first.And as I wrote above, you should not equip your soldier with the bow when going into this assignment.&nbsp; Use 'normal' primary weapons!You have completed the prior 3 Phantom assignments, so all looks clear for you to succeed also with the last one, the Phantom Operative.Do the following please:1. Equip your soldier with the Phantom Program Dog Tag. (which you got from first Phantom assignment)2. Then choose a standard primary weapon and equip it with the Phantom weapon camo, which you got from the second Phantom assignment.&nbsp; &nbsp; (I notice here also that your Recon soldier in using bow is not using the correct camo!! &nbsp;&nbsp; But as said, don't even use the bow, use a normal primary weapon instead)3. Equip your soldier with the Phantom camo, which you got from the 3rd Phantom assignment.4. Check in the BattleLog App report when going to the leadership board and pressing the skull at the very bottom, that the Phantom Operator Phase 4 has become activated for your soldier!5. Then make sure you also equip your solider with one of the Final Stand hidden/secret dog tags.&nbsp; (your solider looks ok with your tags right now!)6. Then you need to join a live game round with 3 other soldiers as we already covered previously above, to go down in the elevator in Hangar21.7. Please observe that the active game needs to be official and it has to be a Large Conquest mode!8. When going down with the elevator, go and interact with the document as the first thing before picking up the bow.9. Interacting with the document is the trigger which initiates the assignment.Then pick up the bow and you are ready to go back up again and get the Phantom Operative completed by doing the bow kills and headshots after that.Let me hear how it goes!

Hello again,5th time down into the Phantom room now, no luck.- I had the Groza equipped as Primary weapon- Phantom weapon camo on Primary/secondary- Phantom soldier camo on- Phantom dog tag and final Stand dog tag equipped- Official Conquest server- It was the “24/7 Final Stand” server on Xbox. There was 64 players in the match when I did it.I attempted to pick the documents up while I still had the Groza on (haven’t picked up bow in the middle of the room yet), it wouldn’t let me pick them up.Then I picked the bow up in the middle of the room, and tried again. Still wouldn’t let me pick them up.It’s starting to feel hopeless. Phantom room attempts 3, 4 and 5 - I did not have the Phantom bow equipped when going down.I tried something new on the 5th attempt. For attempts 1-4, I was the one who entered the code to deactivate the force field. On the 5th attempt, someone else entered the code to deactivate the force field. Didn’t change anything as the documents still can’t be picked up.I seriously think I bugged it by picking it up with odd criteria on the first attempt. The combination of having the bow equipped but NOT from picking it up from the middle of the room and being 3/4 players really messed it up.

Hi&nbsp;@Futilelyte,Do not despair, we are not at the end of the road just yet! &nbsp; ;o)Did you notice my point 4. in the check list that I gave you above?Regarding checking your status in the BattleLog App report when going to the leadership board and pressing the skull at the very bottom, that the Phantom Operator Phase 4 has become activated for your soldier?Can you please do that and then copy the message that it gives you at the very end about your status level?And I presume that you are indeed jumping up onto the cupboards down in the Phantom bow room on the right hand side when walking in from the blue force-field barrier, as the document that you need to interact with is on top of the tall cupboard? &nbsp; So its not the documents laying to the right side on the lower cupboard.&nbsp; You need to jump up onto this, and then even jumping up again one level onto the top of the tall cupboard. &nbsp; Please confirm this and that you see the screen as I have included a screenshot of here, of the document laying on the top of the tall cupboard and when going near it you get the 'interact' popup appearing (I am using PS4, so I have to press the square button to do this).
