Platoon inactive status

How do I make myself "inactive" in one of my platoons without using the "leave" button? I dont want to permanently leave the platoon.

Aaah, now I know what you mean, that is your personal status. You can only be active in 1 platoon at a time, being active with a platoon only means you can can earn xp for the platoon if you play with them, if you don't like the tag you can remove it under soldiers in the edit profile section of Battlelog.

There's not activity status with players in Platoons. Either you are a member or you are not, and members have a rank, that's it, you cannot be active or inactive.

Why have an "active" button if you cant be inactive? (Shows when you're in more than one platoon)
