Please NERF Ilya Muromets Barrage Bomber!
It can wipe out an ENTIRE objective full of players. It is way too OP right now. Please nerf the barrage bomber variant of the Ilya Muromets for the next update!

agree to a point... tried flying them and going for a kill streak but lucky to get a kill without being shot down with an LMG.. granted not the best pilot in the game but how the hell can someone get 100 + kills from these things amazes me
@tat2jon not sure if it's still possible after the latest update, given the increased reload time on the clusterbombs, however when the heavy bomber is used by a coordinated team who know what they are doing and is opposing a team of mostly blueberries who have no clue what they are doing, it is not that amazing. Especially on Operations where enemies have only up to max 3 objectives on which they tend to cluster.
You need a pilot who has decent map knowledge, and yes it helps if he manages to keep the plane in the air 😉
Before reaching the objective, the pilot takes out stationary AA with the twin Auto Cannons. This is where the map knowlegde comes in handy. If the enemies are indeed completely clueless they won't even repair them, making the process much easier.
Next a few crewmembers will help, especially if you have one support player with a repair tool on board. Your crew can man the gunner seats to fight off enemy planes trying to take the bomber down, and the support player with the wrench should be in seat 4 so he can instantly repair the plane when damage is taken. And then it's just a manner of rinse and repeat.
Like always in Battlefield , teamwork beats any team of lone wolf blueberries. And the same goes for opposing the Heavy bomber. If a team works together they will have this thing down before it reaches it's objective and it certainly won't be able to make repeating bombing runs.

yeah... think team work is the key to battlefield... but didnt think of support with repair tool on the bomber,but that makes perfect sense now.. eyes opened.. thanks

I think its balanced on how it for the moment, Its a very class cannon "use". Its one of the easiest planes to kill for the moment and we have been given so much that can damaged it. The team just need to focus it down and it will be shot down.

Though it being a glass cannon it still can be a pest if used correctly. See my clip below which I took during last FridayNightBattlefield on PS4 EU. This was my second pass, as I already bombed the E-objective immediately after spawning in, netting me 3 kills. And I was mostly flying solo as I have only 1 crew member using the plane as a mobile spawnpoint. Also I managed to leave the scene without taking too much damage. The reload time of the cluster bombs can also be used to repair the plane setting it up for another run.
The carnage I created at the D-objective could have been prevented if somebody from the opposite team would have manned the AA cannon during my first pass on E.
But as you can see, it's easy to still get a lot of kills with it. Also due to the small capture radius of the D-objective on Ballroom Blitz and the nature of teams to zerg in a very predictable pattern from one to the next objective.
Later that night St. Quentins Scar was up and I managed to again get several multikills on objectives to the point that the server host friendly requested me to refrain from using the Heavy Bomber again, which I can fully understand and respect.
So my sincere apologies to @Sawtooth75 and anyone else who got killed in the process. It won't happen again........at least not during #FNB 😉
They should give server admins the possibility to disable certain vehicles from being used on their servers as that would solve this issue. Now the only way is to disable vehicles all together as far as I know.
