Re: Weekly weapons Scrap Exchange updates
Hello to all the veterans and blueberries still holding the line on the WW1 battlefields.
I don't know if you guys have been paying attention to the in-game Weapon Exchange lately, but I checked the records today and realized something completely ridiculous:
The last time the BF1 Weapon Exchange updated was actually in June 2025!It's already April 2026, meaning it's been almost a full year since the last rotation! The whole store seems like it's frozen in time. The weapon skins, vehicle skins, and melee puzzle pieces are always the exact same, completely untouched.
I know BF1 is an older game now, and DICE and EA have long shifted their focus to other projects, no longer providing any substantial content updates. We all get that and understand it. But come on, the Weapon Exchange is such a basic mechanic that could literally be automated with a simple script. Are they really that unwilling to spare the bare minimum server resources just to keep it rotating?
The frustrating reality right now is:
- Nowhere to spend Scraps: The mountain of Scraps we've hoarded from playing daily, completing assignments, and opening Battlepacks have just become useless numbers now.
- Despair for unlucky players: Those players who are just one puzzle piece away from unlocking a melee weapon, or the ones who have been waiting for months just to grab their favorite dark variants or Legendary skins, don't even have anything to look forward to anymore.
I wanted to ask everyone here:
- Does anyone know what's actually going on? Is it just an unpatched server bug, or did EA intentionally pull the plug on the rotation script?
- 2. Is there any coordinated effort to report this?
We are a community that still deeply loves the immersive atmosphere of BF1. We aren't asking for new maps or new guns—we just want a pre-existing mechanic to work properly. Is that too much to ask?
How many Scraps are you guys sitting on right now? Which skin are you desperately waiting for? Let's discuss in the comments. Also, I highly encourage everyone to make some noise on EA Help forums or tag them on Twitter. If enough of us speak up, maybe we can get them to flip the switch and revive the Exchange!
