Possible Fix for Performance Issues Playing Battlefield 1 on PC.

 I haven't seen anyone mentioning it and this has been the only solution to my issue and so I'm sharing it here to help others having performance issues with the game.

 I'm playing on Windows 8.1 and I couldn't run the game at all no matter the settings, it would drag and give me stuttering that felt like input lag.

 I didn't do further testing but it does work for me, I turned off real-time protection in Windows Defender and now the game run smoothly without any issues.

 I'm using a I5 4440

GTX 670

8Gb of RAM

Windows 8.1

and a 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD running the game in 1080p

 Hope this helps because it seems I had the same issue most people has in this game regarding performance no matter the advanced video settings.
