As this issue seems to have been resolved with new drivers I'll mark this thread as solved now.
I have something to add if no one else has noticed:
- I only get the error once I have had a map change. I can play a couple minutes of the next map, but then the memory usage skyrockets. This does not affect loading the same map over and over for me.

to be honest they probably never gonna fix it.
Just like they never fixed the black screen problem in bf3.
Update 11:
18. March - New AMD driver did nothing. Problem still persists. Nothing else to report except it's sad.
New 14.3 drivers still crash for me as well. If anything it appears worse when it did it after the first map change.
Alt-Tab before map changes still seems to prevent it happening, but when I forget to do that then it kicks in at the worse possible time ☹️
