[PS3] Issues after new patch download

I downloaded the patch last night with no problem. Then, when the game launched, it froze during the trophy synchronization at 77% of completion. I restarted the PS3 multiple times, always coming to the same freeze and exactly at the same 77%.

Then, I deleted the patch file on the PS3 and tried again. After a restart, I loaded the game and there was no message saying I needed the patch to continue; which is weird because it was not on the PS3 anymore. the game tried to launch, but again the loading froze at 77% of trophy synchronization. Tried to restart multiple times again. No changes.

what can I do?

    That is strange.  If it does not improve I recommend that you delete all of the BF3 files and reinstall the game, all expansions, and DLC files to include your online pass since it looks like you may have a corrupted file.

    Hopefully, it won't come to that or I'll be downloading for quite a while.... I'm going to try and restore the PS3's File System first. I had to do it before and from what I can find online, that's exactly what I need. We'll see.....

    Hi herrkrinkle321!

    This issue is an PSIII/PSN related problem. Following workaround is helped a couple of people solving this issue. Please let us know if your issue still exist and keep the community informed if that helped, by accepting as a solution!

    Delete the User account that is associated with your Sony Entertainment Network account.

    * This does not mean you are deleteing your Sony Entertainment Network account.

    1. On the XMB, go to (Users) and highlight the User that is associated with your Sony Entertainment Network account.
    2. Press the triangle button and select "Delete" and the User will be deleted.
    3. Now under (User), select (Create New User) and create a new User.
    4. Sign in to your Sony Entertainment Network account under this User and sync your trophies.

      NOTE: Please be sure to back up your game saves as this step will delete all game data for this user.
