INVESTIGATING
We are still investigating the issue of single player save files being corrupted for some players. If you have experienced this problem, please describe below the steps leading up to the save file being corrupted, your platform (PC, PS3 or X360), and when the issue occurred."
Some folks have reported success removing the save file and starting over and though it's not an optimal solution, it appears to allow you to play the game.
The error code comes up before I can even do anything. I have given up on the single player because the files keep getting corrupted. Now I can't even play multiplayer because of the code. I hope the issue will be resolved some or EA might start losing customers.
