PS4 New game update required.

Once the game fully installed, it should upgrade itself automatically, but you can force an upgrade. Select the game and press Options button. Select Check for updates and the game should update itself.

Also remember that on PS4 you need Playstation Plus to play online unlike PS3 which allowed everyone to play online for free without PS+.

Hey! I'm having this same issue with Battlefield 1.  I've been playing the game for weeks with no issue, but the day the platoons came out I received this error.  I have no updates in my notifications.  I have internet connection.  Any ideas?  Thanks

I assume you are on PlayStation 4? Have you tried to perform troubleshooting steps, I`ve mentioned in my previous post? Reinstalling the game must fix this. Also check your console for free disk space, sufficient for the upgrade.

I am playing on the PC and having the same problem. Already tried uninstalling and repairing the game, still don't have any luck.

When i'm in the BF1 menus im getting a 'update required' screen with the two options 'not now' or 'update'. I can't click on either of these options. 

Origins says my game is ready to play and fully updated. Anyone knows what to do? I've played the game with no issues for weeks..

I wish since I've seen no substantial improvement in PSN's services over the free PS3 version since the implementation of paid online play. Microsoft still has PSN beat on that front.
