When I first get into a game, the I immediately get booted and receive the error punkbuster corrupt file/memory 85000. I have checked the punkbuster updates and shows I have most recent version. Whats the fix?

I tried several things.Btw, I installed windows 10.I tried installing Origin with Administrator privileges,Installed game online,installed pbsetup manually from even balance http://www.evenbalance.com/updated the Battlefield Bad Company 2 punkbuster files.I tried also to run both PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB with Run as Administrator, restarted services and PC,I tested the punkbuster from the punkbuster installation file from the game under installer, successful.both services with compatibility mode for windows 8.1 and win 7, still nothingboth files allowed from firewall.disabled smart firewall from Nortondisabled firewall from MikroTik routerstill nothing.I believe there is a compatibility problem of punkbuster and windows 10.can you please help?

OKAY, i looked around and i found this....Go to StartC: Programs Files (x86)ORIGIN GAMESBattlefield Bad Company 2now find BFBC2Gameand right click on it and then bring up PropertiesClick on Compatibility Tab second from left on topnow move down to bottom where it reads Run this Program to work as an administratorclick on the box so there is a check mark inside the boxhit OKt ...go to the top of the Compatibility and see where it says Run compatibility troubleshooter click on this and the game will start and run as normalhere is a picture... Don't forget to RUN your GAME ........ RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR from properties. SHOWN HERE http://i.imgur.com/9JkuL31.jpgyou have to launch the game with this Run compatibility troubleshooter i could not get the game to launch the regular way....but at least i managed to get the game runningOh and it works on Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4

I still get kicked from every room for this corrupted memory error.First, Windows 10 broke Red Alert 2, and now Bad Company 2? Dang.[UPDATE]I opened up the game's executable in the Origin folder and set it to run as Administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode. That seemed to do the trick.

I've been having the same problem with Win10. I fixed it by running the game directly form the desktop shortcut in Win7 Compatibility mode. Right click the shortcut, etc. Hope that helps...

Same here. I'm sure this is caused by Windows 10. I've reinstalled PunkBuster, tried to fix the game through Origin, turned off Windows Firewall, etc. Nothing helped.
I'm just going to uninstall the game now.

I have the same problem.
It was working just fine on Windows 7.
Once I installed Windows 10 Ultimate, fresh installation not upgrade, I have the same error.
What is the fix?
I want to play Battlefield 2 and Vietnam!!!
Please EA, come up with a fix

Going to the propoerties and chnaging to windows 7 works
