Punkbuster freezing whole computer in x64 Windows 7

Repair PunkBuster or change your operating system to 32 bits instead of 64 bits. Report back if you have more questions.

My computer is 64-bit ready and I use 64-bit programs.

Is there anyway to change Punkbuster to use 64 bit OS?

Well, if you only want to play single player, uninstall punkbuster.  Then you can run 64 bit.

And just to be clear. Even though punkbuster is a 32 bit program, it has no problems running on a 64 bit OS compared to a 32 bit OS. The program is so small that it as a 32bit program actually might run better on a 64bit OS than it would if it was a 64bit punkbuster.

Well, than how can you explain that Battlefield Heroes crashes on my more powerful x64 computer but runs fine on my slower x32 computer? My x64 computer (4 years old) can handle many more games than my x32 computer (8 years old).

Punkbuster has many problems running on 64 bit OS, since Battlefield Heroes crashes on more powerful 64 bit computer and runs well on slower 32 bit computer.

I didn't get anymore answers for a while and I am dissapointed of the tehnical support.

Or it might be a driver issue unrelated to Punkbuster but related to your x64 computer and not x32 computer.

No, it's not a driver issue because Battlefield 3 runs fine on the x64 computer with punkbuster disabled.

With punkbuster it runs slower for 5-10 min and then it freezes the whole computer.
