Punkbuster not installing for Battlefield 4 Beta

i litterally dont even have the va001390.D64. file. this is pissing me off man i just wanna play this game

Yup.  Having the same problem.  Tried run as administrator.  trined uninstalled PB... restarting the service.  It instgalled 2142 ok.  But not BF4.

Pissing me off.

Was (am) concerned my not so fast rig was the issue, but I don't think that's the issue.  It ain't great, but better than min spec.

No idea what cause or fix is yet.  But BF4 tries to load then stalled after getting about 1.2 gig of ram loaded for BF4.exe (see Task Mgr).  Then stalls and audio freezes.  Have to kill BF4 task.

Don't fret!  Join the main discussion here I have already mostly fixed this issue!

Your fix doesn't work for everyone and surely none of my friends who have the same issue still.

all have installed Punkbuster for BF3. assure yourself that you download and install punkbuster for BF4

Yeah this is actually a brand new SSD with nothing on it besides Splinter Cell and BF4 beta now. Nice try though. Appreciate it.

Just make sure to download those 2 files and save them as HTML in the 'pb' BF4 folder.

Then just normally download PB here http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

And now follow the regular steps.

While this did fix the punkbuster not updated correctly issue I am still having problem where blue bar goes, goes away, nothing happens.

I think u have to install Battlefield 3 before u install battlefield 4 becuase when u install the battlefield 3 u get punkbuster and that punkbuster u get for battlefield 3 works for battlefield 4. It worked for me anyway. 🙂
