RAM usage

Hi,

I'm experiencing FPS drops while playing BF1 mutliplayer even on low/medium details, despite having a configuration much better than mentioned in BF1 minumum specs.

My specs:

i5-7600K (stock)

8GB RAM 2400 CL12 dual channel

GTX 1060 6GB (fabric OC)

HDD drive

win 7 SP1

I tried almost all "fixes" just like creating new config file, setting off Origin in-game, setting high priority do BF1 process, turning VSYNC off, setting max FPS to 60 and setting up the page file to 8GB.

I think the main problem is RAM usage, which is all-time full according to Afterburner, but I spoke to other BF1 players and most of them said that 8GB of RAM is ENOUGH to play multiplayer on most maps. So what's the problem? How to reduce RAM usage in BF1? Which  in-game settings generate most ram usage?

It looks like the frame drops in game are being generated by pagefile which usage is shown as about 11GB according to Afterburner.... so should I consider deleting the page file maybe or making it even bigger (to 12 GB) ?

Thanks in advance.

Generally, your pagefile should be ~2x the size of your RAM so try setting it to 16GB, reboot, retry and let us know here how you get on, thanks.

Thanks Man, it works! I've just set the minimum pagefile size to 2gb and maximum to 16gb and now game is almost smooth @ about 50-60FPS.
