Randomly in game, the game will fade to black and promptly exit with no error.

I'll be playing BF1 normally, and suddenly, the screen will fade to black, and simply exit. It won't freeze and crash, or instantly crash to desktop, but simply close like I closed it myself. No error messages, no wonky behavior that might indicate something went wrong, it's a strangely peaceful exit. I will restart it and rejoin, play normally, and it may or may not happen again that night, it is very sporadic. Today it happened twice.

This doesn't happen in other games, only in BF1. I also never had this issue before, but I only recently started playing after the new AC was introduced, so I can't say it was because of that.

  • Hello @areset335,

    Have you tried reinstalling the game and updating both your CPU and GPU drivers?

    Best regards,

  • Yes, I did the a variety of the immediate options, such as reinstalling game/drivers, repairing, restarting, etc.

  • Does EA still have support for BF1? I couldn't find a link to open a case with BF1.

    @areset335,

    When you enter the EA help website, just search for Battlefield 1. You can still get support via chat and e-mail for Battlefield 1.
