Definitely uninstall Razer surround and see if that helps. My system was acting strangely with razer surround, I uninstalled it and now it's fine despite still running Synapse.

Was not Razer surround causing the issue.
As other have pointed out, as soon as the Razer Synapse program wanted to start tracking my mouse movements (stats and heatmaps) ... BF4 has been crashing.
I've been told to disable "Stats and Heatmaps" but it was never enabled to begin with. (Even tried enabling it, just so I could then disable it. No luck.)
Glad I'm not alone though.

My BF4 has crashed as well without stats & heatmaps being enabled in Synapse. I can only recommend reporting the bug using the "Razer Synapse 2.0 Feedback bug report" feature. I can from personal experience say that Razer takes those report serious.

uninstall razer synapse
- Anonymous11 years agodo'nt need to uninstall you just close all services synapse when using BF4 and then works perfectly when I use other games it reactivated. I tried initially to freeze it with the booster closing the driver in memory but from the same problems then you just close it.
