Check if the game is Installed,if so uninstall using Windows or CCleaner or anything else, then try to install via Origin, that worked for me

[EDIT] After all those problems, I uninstalled BFBC2 via CCleaner. Then I clicked again on Install, on Origin, and it worked. Now it's updating to the 7...whatever version. I hope it works. I'll come back here to tell what happened. [EDIT]

I have the same problem. And it took me two weeks to finally find this thread. But it seems we are just a few poor souls who are having the same issue, without any hope for help. That's how frustrated I feel after several repetitions of the install-uninstall-clean-reinstall process.

    - I've already tried uninstalling only the game via Revo Uninstaller.

    - I've already tried uninstalling Origin and all EA related software from my PC.

    - I've already tried to remove every piece of EA data from the registry.

    - I've already downloaded the +6GB of BFBC2 over and over again using my 1 Mbps pain-in-the-neck connection.

    - I've already tried reinstalling using my retail DVD, but it's not working anymore, but it shouldn't matter, as I've registered my serial key on Origin to not have this problem in the first place.

The strangest thing is: when I go to the game installation folder, the files are there, but the updater shows an error message.

If I try to run the BFBC2GAME.exe, it asks for the installation DVD (???)

    I'm lost.

I really like EA Games, but when it comes to support, it fails badly every time I need help. It's hard to find and it's not always there.

Anyways, what I really would love is to be able to unregister my serial key from Origin and re-register on Steam, that usually works better. I would even accept them cancelling my key and giving me a new one so I can register it on Steam and get rid of Origin once and for all.

But, if anyone can come up with an idea or help to solve this I would be very glad to finally go back to the battlefield (I'm suffering from abstinence).

Please EA! I'm not the only one having this problem. HELP US!
