Re: [Battlefield 1943] Network error: Login failed
There are numerous indicators of Quality Control problems at EA surrounding this issue:
1. There is not even a message board dedicated to this specific game, "Battlefield 1943" and instead we are told to refer back to this message board. Yet - do you EA Customer Service reps not know that it is difficult to find this page in the first place, and this message board is on a Battlefield 1942 game? Yes, one digit off, but that's huge. You need to comprehend that problem in itself. Every EA game should have its own forum and a problem/bug page that is specific to that single game. You show mild incompetence by not getting to this level of professionalism in your Quality Control processes.
2. No official message was posted as an originating message from EA vice response messages here. Hasn't EA considered making a statement at the first page/home page of the Support section to state what is known (even if nothing) and then link to this page as necessary? Again, you have to consider that you're hoping customers go to an alternate page to find the ongoing dialogue to this problem.
3. Server/code issues like this are typically 48-hour problems at most. This downtime is indicative of a major problem that could even be internally generated. Did one of your former employees Trojan the system?
4. Here's the most important message for you EA executives to read and digest - this game (BF1943) is better than any of your recent renditions of the Battlefield series. BF3 is a waste of time in contrast - too many things added that complicate and aggravate gameplay, in contrast to the simplistic style and gameplay offered by BF1943. Why do we all want to connect here? Because it's a better game. Regardless the game engine upgrades you make, you need to re-learn how to make simplistic games like BF1943, rather than piling on so much that a game becomes useless to play. Yes, I have BF3, and the gaming time spent there was dissatisfactory and several friends and family agreed - the BF Bad Company and BF1943 are the last enjoyable games in the series. You are developing your way out of gaming enjoyment, but you may not get that or understand its implications.
