Unfortunately, Battlefield 2142 is too old to be added to your Origin account by yourself. You will have to contact a Game Advisor at https://help.ea.com/contact-us and he will be able to assist you in adding the game to your account.

I recently tried this route, both with phone call support and live text chat report.
They verified my account, my serial, and I attached photo verification that I owned the physical deluxe edition of the game.
Both of them state that they are unable to add the game to the account (as in "we are clicking the button to add it to your account and it is telling us we cannot" or "it should be in your library now").
I wanted to add 2142 to my account, even if the official service is unavailable because it it may influence beta selection for 2042, and also it is just nice to have it all in one location.
Is it possible for you to check into this? I can provide the case number if needed, and the transcript for the text support.
P.S. apologies for the necro, but this post was my first result when looking up how to add 2142 onto Origin, and I wanted to verify that the method is still valid.
