Re: Battlefield 3 Premium Code Activation Problem PS3

Hi @ReftyS I can't read your language so don't know what the message you're seeing says exactly, unfortunately (N.B. attachments should be in English here as that's the language of the forum). There is a Polish forum here, though, if that would be better for you:

https://answers.ea.com/t5/Inne-gry-z-serii-Battlefield/bd-p/other-battlefield-games-pl

However, where did you buy the code from? Was it through the PlayStation store or somewhere else?

Edit: Thread moved from the BFV forum to the BF3 one.

  • Thanks for the answers. @ElliotLH  I wrote on the Polish forum about my problem here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Inne-gry-z-serii-Battlefield/Problem-z-aktywacja-kodu-dla-Battlefield-3-Premium/m-p/14015526#M13517 but they told me that I should contact the seller. So I contacted the seller who told me that I should contact EA Help. I contacted EA Help via chat and the consultant told me that I should contact Sony Playstation. The consultant from Sony told me that he will try to help me and generate a code for BF 3 Premium, but after asking I received an email that it is not possible because only EA can help me. So I contacted EA Help again via chat, but the consultant couldn't help me and asked me to write about my problem on this English forum. I'm afraid that I won't get help on the Polish forum again and will be redirected to somewhere where I already tried to get help.

I bought the physical version of the game and in the box was a coupon for Battlefield 3 Premium on PS3. The base version of Battlefield 3 is on disc, only the add-ons and premium content are in the form of a key.

The error code in the image will sound something like this in English "The coupon code is invalid or expired." After entering the code, it is clear that the code is assigned to the Battlefield 3: Ultimate Edition content, and this makes me wonder why it shouldn't be Battlefield 3: Premium. Maybe this is the cause of my problems?

@danisoffI understand that online play will be closed down in the future, but I would really like to play Battlefield 3 on PS3 with the add-ons on maps that are not available in the base game. And I have a key that gives me access to premium content.

Is there anything else I can tell you that could help me?

No problem @ReftyS, I was just making sure you were aware of the current situation.

As far as I'm aware the seller will have to provide you with a valid key, this is a 3rd party seller so nothing much can be done by EA. The message you're receiving suggests that you've obtained a previously used key. Could you please let me know which website you purchased it from?

    Best regards,

@ReftyS Thank you for the information. It sounds like you're in a bit of a bind here. I can only comment from what I'd expect to happen in the UK, so this may not apply, but if it was bought brand new then the responsibility would most likely be on the seller (there may be caveats), since there'd be a contract of sale with them. However, if it was a second hand purchase, that it's less likely that much can be done.

You could try again with EA Help, but as they didn't sell it to you directly and may not have been from an approved retailer then they may not be able to do much other than point you back to the seller.
  • @danisoff I bought here https://allegro.pl/oferta/ps3-battlefield-3-premium-edition-5-dlc-10144089918, (Allegro is the same as eBay) but I check that the same person have own shop https://grajlandia.com.pl/. So this is shop to 100%.

Too bad the last official major play-asia store I know of doesn't sell Battlefield 3 Premium for the European console version.

    https://www.play-asia.com/battlefield-3-premium-edition-english-version/13/7059kh - Asian version available

    https://www.play-asia.com/battlefield-3-premium-edition/13/7059kd - American version available

    https://www.play-asia.com/battlefield-3-premium-edition/13/705c8z - Japanese version available

    https://www.play-asia.com/battlefield-3-premium-edition/13/705c8z - European version not available ☹️

So I decided to look on the local market and trust the store I chose.

Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to buy Premium on PSN because I realized too late about the inability to buy Premium.

@ElliotLH I'll try to contact the store again and see what the chances are for a positive response. Although I'll probably be redirected to EA support again, because I've already opened the game and the product was sealed in foil.

@ReftyS I wish you the best of luck with it. It might also be worth checking if Allegro have any policies for this kind of situation too.

Best of luck as @ElliotLH said, unfortunately nothing more can be done, you will have to try your luck with the vendor or a allegro representative.

    Best regards,

Unfortunately, the seller did not help me, but I got partial compensation. I did not want to fight for more, so I accepted this solution.

But there is one good thing, there is an option to buy Battlefield 3 Premium on PS3, but not from the game, because this option is blocked, but normal in the store. Fortunately, the date of July 31 does not apply to the Sony PS3 Store. I did not check this option before, and the price is not high, so I decided to buy Premium there. It is still not the best solution, because I paid more in total, but I spent too much time on this problem and saw that getting help in this case will be very difficult.

Thank you for help: @ElliotLH @danisoff
