This is happening on my rented server as well. I called EA and was told it was a network issue at my house, although none of my friends/admins can connect to the rented server. I was on hold for about 15 minutes and was told they would snd me an email on what I could try to connect to the rented server.
What a load.... I want a refund!!!
BF3 - PS3 - rented EA server, all was fine until yesterday, now no one can connect - being told it's my network preventing users form connecting to the ea server, although I can connect to any other server I attempt to connect to.
Between PSN, EA and my ISP I have wiped my HD, RESET THE PS3 Console, reset the modem, set the Ports in the modem as suggested by EA and STILL NOT ABLE TO CONNECT TO MY RENTED SERVER after 6 frickin hours straight. I am so not impressed.
ISP says the issue is at EA's side, EA says its ISP side then talks me into adjusting the Ports for PS3 assuring me this will fix the problem which of course it did not. EA keeps telling me that my connection is not stable. ISP says its perfect. I have tested this and that way to Sunday and actually agree, its working great. So I asked, "where are the Battlefield Servers located? They are NOT in my home, I simply rented one from YOU (EA) so HOW CAN MY "UNSTABLE CONNECTION" be the issue when I am in Vancouver BC and NOT even logged on! I have a friend trying from Florida to access the server only to be met with the same message? I call BS on the ISP issue. IT IS AT EA's side and I think they know it. I see this has been an issue all the way back to 2011/12 when I search on line.- EA_Archi8 years ago

Hello @mattyg401
I can totally see why you are frustrated with this issue. But unfortunately, we can not manage individual accounts on Answers HQ. I suggest you to get in touch with EA Advisors one more time, and explain them, what exactly you are experiencing, and what you friend can`t connect with your rented server, using completely different ISP. Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Archi
- Hi Archie. Non issue. EA could NOT get it up and running unfortunately. Sony has re-imbursed me so I'll be sending the cash to a friend who has been successful in running EA servers for BF3 before. He'll just make me an admin and we're good to go.
