Re: Battlefield Not Downloading Properly

i was suggested by a friend that restarting it may help. i had left it a few times so maybe it was something that hd happened when i wasnt at my computer that had done this. I have searched many other forums but have not found anything useful to help me.

i have restarted the download and the exact same thing is happening. It has been 6 days i have been trying to download this program.

i have no issues downloading with steam or any other platform and my speedtests for data are at 12mbps.

I just want to play this game i have purchased. Can someone from EA please help me with this?

i downloaded it over night, it got stuck at 60% with an error (i was half asleep and clicked ok without writing it down for some reason. i restarted it, it went back down to 50%. i returned home and it was at 58%, since the 5 minutes i have been home it has gone from 58% down to 54%.

This has taken a week to download and i have downloaded over 50gb for a 20gb game. Can anyone at EA help with this issue?

I contacted my ISP (Club Telco - they use Dodo back end) and they said there were not any known issues with the origin client or its downloads.

i have tried again to download with the same issue occuring.

Can EA or anyone help me with this issue? i have written an email to EA but am still waiting for a response.

Thank **bleep** it's not just me, I too am using ClubTelco & thought it mite be them. I've been trying since end of Jan this year and have gotten nowhere fast using a probable 200gig+ just trying to download it. At 1st I thought it's because I updated to windows 8 but two of my firends are using windows 8 & aren't having issues. It's a troubling issue indeed.

Have you had any friends with Dodo or any other ISP had any problems like this?

If you are similarly having issues it may be that it is Club telco's backend that is causing the issue. I am unaware of the way that Dodo rectified this problem so i would not be able to advise Club Telco. At the time of speaking to them i was unaware if the company representative that i was talking to had any knowledge of the issue and so it may have been the case that i was misinformed by them (of no malicious intent mind you).

It would however be useful to have some sort of contact with anyone from EA or anyone who has had the issue with Dodo in this thread.

Unfortunately no, they're using TPG & Optus, and according to Facebook contacts, no one else seems to be having the trouble; with the majority having never heard of ClubTelco!

Acting on pure dumb luck, I was fed up by the lack-there-of response by EA so I took it upon myself to download a pirate copy - having an actual key didn't faze me in the slightest seeing as we own it - . I installed it & what luck, Origin accepted it as the version I had previously purchased off of them. It appears to we playing problem free.

Here's the torrent link to what I downloaded. Just select English, and where your games via Origin would install, and sit back & hurray for piracy.

Ok, there is something seriously wrong with Origin, my expiation packs aren't downloading properly now. The problem seems to be all things Battlefield related.

Now more problems, after logging off & having a nap, now it won't load, just sits on the loading screen & does nothing. Origin = FAIL!!!

Fixed - deleted all temporary files and download completed succesfully

go to run, type in '%temp%' and delete all files in this directory and rmeove them permanently from your comp
