Community ManagerBF4 was not designed for next gen consoles; as suggested by @98Eazy , you guys might be better off waiting for October 22, 2021 when 2042 is released.

A software upgrade would be nice to increase the graphics if you play it on the New-gen console.
But i don't expect it to happen, as the new Battlefield 2042 is just around the corner.

Now that 2042 is released, and sucks balls, I have no reason to even buy a PS5. I was hoping 2042 would've been better than BF4. That would've given me enough to spend up to $1000 on a PS5. But BF2042 sucked. Playstation wouldn't give me a refund. So screw PS.
I'm happy with BF4 on PS4.
Battlefield 4 really needs an update for the PS5 and/ or Xbox Series X. It would be great if updated to the PC version of the game.
I totally understand EA wouldn't make a profit from it, but at least it would help people to keep playing EA products over their competitors. COD is about to release, give the players something.
It's no use in my opinion to update Battlefield Portal with Battlefield 4 assets, because it wouldn't be the same game. Destruction, bullet velocities, animations, vehicle speed and movement each play a role in how the game feels and Battlefield portal doesn't correctly capture those elements from each game it tries to replicate.
I play bf4 on ps5 and it needs a new update for sure
Maybe now that 2042 didn't perform as expected, an updated version of Bf4 can be considered. I'm sure it has a higher player count than 2042. I would love to love it again but the jagged edges are too much for me.

WWZ the game released in Xbox one and PS4 era, they added a 60 fps patch to it, created a new PS5 version of the game and added even CROSS-PLAY to it.
So your answer si not good at all. Is EA lazy and doesnt care about fans and communities? They only think how to make a game very similar to Fortnite because...money....a lot of money.
But when you (EA) were a tiny little company, we loved you, buyed all bf titles and this is how you love us back ?!
There are so many veterans players who would pay a LOT for a remastered version of the BF3, BF4 and even BF HARDLINE.
PS : I also sold my BF2042 ( terrible BATTLEFIELD game ) missing the CORE of TRUE Battlefield!
