no. still not working. tried everything. there is no cryptbase.dll file.

this problem is caused from your new anti cheat,many of us did not cheat and the new update had broken our games,the anti cheat needs to be fixed and needs to works on all OS's.im not going to buy new bf games bc im afraid they wont work

I paid $149.93 on October 16, 2024 for Battlefield 1 and all the Add ons.
Full price for an 8 year old game. Now this Anticheat Update has broken the $149 game. Basically only 7 days of play.

Continue to update us regularly on what EA is going to do to validate our purchases. When are we going to see a patch(es). We need to know that EA is going to do the right thing for the customers.

I have two accounts with EA - richcz3 and FraziePup. FraziePup is where I made the purchase on October 16, 2024.
I'm also Frazie Bandit on Steam where I have also posted the possible solution.

I have a potential real fix for the problem - I just used it on both of my EA accounts

2nd PC (FraziePup account) launched BF1 just now

You may not need to delete or rename the Battlefield 1 directory in Documents as I did for the 1st PC. I didn't have to do that for the 2nd PC

Start by disabling/exiting all Startup Apps. Mouse, Monitor, Antivirus, etc>
You should not see them in the system tray or they are still active

Only after all are no longer active, Launch EA app and Launch Battlefield 1

You can enable each startup app individually after to see if they are the ones that conflict with the Anticheat update

Both PCs are ASUS motherboard builds - AMD and Intel processors - Both running nVidia GPUs.

as mentioned i own the steam version, AC splash then nothing, and i tried all fixes mentioned here, furthermore :

no third party

no mods

Firewall exceptions On

dx diag attached

BF V runs

I did this on two different PCs each with its own EA account.

Thanks EA for ruining the gaming community AGAIN,

Forcefully pushing a broken Anti-cheat software which borks the game for Windows and especially Linux/Steam OS Users...

Other Anti-cheat programs, like EAC or Battleye even have compatibility with Proton and Wine to ensure, everyone who paid for this game, can access THEIR(!!!!!!) BOUGHT game.

It seems like EA apparently is removing the right to play legally purchased games from people after 8 Years of the release and not handing out refunds. Personally, I would classify this behavior as STEALING, doesn't matter how long ago anyone bought it, but to each their own. The new EU laws, will hopefully teach this shady company a lesson and protect the consumer in the future.

I hope, all of this stuff falls back down on the company and ruins it completely, like they've ruined gaming over and over and over again... Grabbing money and not delivering or even stealing from the players...

Chapeau, well done. Fix the game and remove the crappy anti-cheat software, I'd rather play against a cheater in one of ten matches, than not be able to play this game at all.

There will not be a single EA game ever in my library again.

Additionally I'd like to request a REFUND for all the games in my library that have this shady kernel level anti-cheat, as I don't have a spying operating system (Windows) and thus can't play the game again until it is fixed (if it's ever going to be fixed).

You just made the best Battlefield game of all time unplayable for everyone, who isn't a Microsoft shill and even to those who are, you apparently made the game borderline unplayable.

I have same issue, AC sked to update win version.

I'm now trying to udate my windows and reinstall EA with BF1.

Thats * tbh, spent almost two days for it. 

Does AC worth all these negative consequences for normal players?

I saw claims in some stream that still there are some cheaters killing oneshot etc even with AC.

Disable or Close All the apps that are running in the background. Right Click on each one and a Menu should come up. "Exit" is usually the option - I added the Red X's - You will not see that. Just showing all the ones I closed.

Disable/Close and then try and Run Battlefield One.

On one PC GameFirst VI and Malwarebytes had to be exited.  Relaunching EA ui and BF1 would launch without issues.

I'm sure every PC will have a different set of background apps that trip the anticheat software

Confirmed for me too, I quit Malwarebytes and Asus Gamerfirst and BF1 launched no problem, it seems anticheat hates both these apps but only when running BF1, my other Battlefield games are not affected by them. 🙂
