Re: BF1 Servers suddenly high ping

Hey @CaptainCheetah,

Welcome.

It's unfortunate to hear that you're having connection issues and that you're getting such a high ping.

Playing with VPN enabled can indeed increase your latency and packet loss quite a bit, even if it worked okay for one time, it does not have to mean it also works okay every time you try it.

We have basic and advanced troubleshooting steps on EA Help to help you with your connection. Try these steps first to see if they can solve your ping issue:

Basic: http://x.ea.com/ea/basic-connection-ts, https://help.ea.com/nl/help/faq/problems-playing-online/

Advanced: http://x.ea.com/ea/advanced-connection-ts

PC: https://support.microsoft.com/windows/fix-network-connection-issues-in-windows-166a28c4-14c1-bdb1-473c-09c1571455d8

PS: https://connection.support.playstation.com/

Xbox: https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/connect-network/xbox-one-network-connection

Our most important tip is to connect your console or PC to your router with a cable. Ethernet is the best way to get the most stable connection.

For more troubleshooting steps or other solutions, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

  • Between February 15-16, in-game lag times are far from normal. My normal ping values are 48-56. It's between 150-400 now. When I contacted my internet provider, they did not encounter any problems. Is there a solution I can implement? "There is a problem with your account" I also get such an issue.
