Re: BF3 stuttering problem!!!

Your CPU is a bit bottleneck and your GTX660ti can't work with its full power. Overclock your CPU to 4GHz. Graphics is not an problem since its a strong card and can run BF3 on Ultra at 1080p. Internet connection as said above can be a problem but that should be your last worry.

Good you found out what's wrong. Now don't OC it,since you will just increase temperatures more. I highly suggest to buy a new CPU if you have enough money, your CPU struggles with your GPU so buying a new and better CPU would be the best in terms of performance and overall durability of your PC. If you can't buy a new CPU then buy aftermarket cooler that will lower the temperatures quite a bit and if temperatures are good then OC it.

Disable the "origin in game" feature in your PC origin client. To turn off Origin in game log into Origin, in the upper left hand corner click on the word "Origin" in the menu, and then click on "Application Settings".  Next go to the "Origin in game" tab and uncheck the "enable Origin in game" box.

origin in-game doesn't cause stuttering.  no need to disable it for this purpose.

Actually Origin in game has been causeing a stutter or lag every 3-5 seconds while in game since the mid-June patch in all origin enabled games.  This problem has been widely reported in the Origin community and disabling it eliminates the problem for almost everyone who experiences it.  If a player disables it and the stutter continues that they've eliminated Origin in game as a possible cause and they can look at other solutions.  I understand you were trying to inform others of what fixed your stutter and I commend your desire to assist your fellow Battlefielders.  I just wanted to add to your list since Origin in game is a very common stutter\lag cause and it's a very easy solution to test before cracking open the case.

  • ok as long as you left an explanation, since not everyone is aware of the "origin in-game" stutters
