Re: bf4.exe application error (0xc000007b)

Hello Deuce3R,

First , try this fix.

  1. Go to Start Menu > Run.  (Run as Administrator)
  2. Enter the following: SFC.EXE /SCANNOW (make sure there is a space between SFC.EXE and /SCANNOW). This initiates the Microsoft utility that will scan and repair problems with protected system files on your computer.

Second, Uninstall every Microsoft Visual C++ 2005/.../2013

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Then use 'Search' (Top-Right Corner)  'Visual' then uninstall every Microsoft Visual C++ ...

  2. Download Installer for Microsoft Visual C++ ... then install.

3. Go to Battlefield 4 Folder > vc > vc2012Update3 > redist , and install both .exe installers.

  • vcredist_x64.exe
  • vcredist_x86.exe

Uninstalling the Microsft Visual C++ packages and reinstalling them helped; thanks a lot!

Man, I got a lot of outdated stuff on my computer.

  • Have you ever tried this not sure it can help but worth a shot...

BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues.

1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop or trash.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF4
4- When done go test your game.

This didn't work for me. Is there anything that I need to do after that such as restart or something?
