Nope, cable. Tried to bridge to my PS4 and connect through PPoE on my PS4... still no good.
Didn't tried to remove the power cord from ps4, just from the router. I'm going to try to do that now.
I've already opened ports, set a static ip for ps4, put it on dmz, tried different DNS and so on... nothing helped.
That problem started to happen after the fall patch.

EDIT
Removing the power cord had no effect on this problem.
So far I already did:
- Set a static IP for PS4;
- Enable that IP on DMZ;
- Opened BF4 ports on router;
- Changed the DNS;
- Tried a different router;
- Made my PS4 do the authentication trough PPoE, using my router bridged;
- PS4 connected through cable.
- Unplugged the power cord from router + PS4.
I do not know if it is something with my connection or if it's the EA servers. That only happens when playing Domination, TDM, Squad Obliteration. With less players than Conquest Large, where, with 64 players I can get a "decent" connection with 130~150ms.
I really don't know what to do. A fellow player from my clan have a 250mbps connection and is facing the same issues... and all started after the fall patch.

How do you determine the ping? The summer patch did introduce new values for the 5 connection bars.
- Anonymous10 years ago
In server browser I get only 1 bar on my connection in any server.
If I make the system test option in game, I get 3 green bars... and 300ms.
If you want I can take a screenshot.

They changed the bars in the latest patch to this:
CONSOLE: Revised the ping bar segments in the server browser & rental server UI to properly represent expected values:
- Five bars Great connection (0ms-50ms)
- Four bars Good connection (50ms-100ms)
- Three bars OK connection (100ms-170ms)
- Two bars Almost bearable connection (170ms-220ms)
- One Bar Bad connection (220ms-300ms)
If that doesn't explain it I don't know why your connection is so bad (or if that is normal for whatever location you are playing in) but if you have a PC and can connect it to the same Internet you might want to do a trace:

I can say for sure that is not normal. Before the summer patch I played just fine, with a OK connection on all East Servers and after the patch I can barely play any other mode than Conquest Large.
A friend of mine can get 3 bars on a server, but he is unable to join the server.
Something has really messed up the servers after the latest patch. While some can play just fine... others, like me, have this kind of problem.
But thanks for your help.
I'm on Xubuntu and have the Network Tools, it will work the same way as tracerout?

Linux traces should be more than fine.
