Re: BF5 preorder weapons

@foo114514 I had a similar question as I just switched from pc to Xbox.

Elliott was kind enough to ask them about it, and their reply is we’ll have to buy a code again online. They mean for the BFV Deluxe version, I assume, and luckily there are still codes for sale online - and they are not expensive thankfully.

Hope this answers your question

    @VOLBANKER_PCReally?
I have a question, there's one edition called the "Definitive edition" for BFV, does that edition unlock the five bonus weapons for BF1? What about the "Year 2 Edition"? Or is it just have to be the "Deluxe edition"?

Also, from which site did you buy your code from, because each google search appears differently, and can you confirm that buying one of three versions of BFV that I've mentioned unlocks the guns and which one exactly?

  • @Viancee_IlI You can buy the activation code for bf5 pre order weapon’s. But they are (almost) extincted.
The other option is subscribing to the EA play Pro. Only Pro will have the weapon. The weapon will disappear if you stop your subscription

@66cdf0ec2a69eafa Thank you for the quick response.

Basically, I've already did a research on my own and I'm aware that EA Pro grants access, but the guns are lost once the sub expires. I'm also aware of the Enlister codes which grant a permanent access to the weapons, but they are already depleted, unless you know where I could buy one from I'd greatly appreciate it?

I was wondering if one of the editions of BFV grants access to the guns in a similar manner, because as far as I know, EA Pro fetches item access from the "Year 2 Edition" of BFV, through which, the game grants you access to these guns. So, I was wondering if it's possible to just buy one of these editions and get access to the guns, I just need someone to confirm this one for me.

Just to clarify: It wouldn't be the Definitive Edition, but rather the Enlister DLC. However, this wouldn't be something you can buy from an official source, it'd be grey-market, so can't give out any links here.

@VOLBANKER_PC Sorry for causing any confusion man. My fault entirely for not being clear.

  • @ElliotLHI know that the Enlister DLC is a standalone add-on for the guns, but the Enlister DLC is not the only source for these guns to be obtained and that is what I was trying to elaborate --> Basically,

EA Pro subscription gives access to these guns, and according to the fetch data of the plan, EA Pro grants these guns through the "Year-2 Edition", and according to a previous official EA pamphlet about the "ex" Deluxe edition of the game it's been stated that these guns were also granted for the time being of the deluxe edition as well before it was eventually replaced with what is now known the "Definitive" edition.

So, that's what I'm trying to find out, if these three editions grant access to these guns, so I could know if I should buy keys for the previous two editions ("Deluxe" or "Year-2") from the grey market or to just buy the Definitive one from the official Origin page?

@Viancee_IlI They're definitely not included in either of the standalone Year 2 or Definitive editions (Year 2 and Deluxe editions are also no longer available with the release of the Definitive Edition seemingly), according to the EA product pages both simply grant Tides of War weapons, which doesn't include the BF1 weapons. The only way I'm aware of being able to get them now is through the Enlister DLC. Perhaps there is some way of getting them through EA Play, but I've got no knowledge I'm afraid about that as I don't use the service.

I would recommend contacting EA Help or carefully reading through all the relevant product pages, if you would like official clarification.

@ElliotLHNo problem, Elliot! I knew about the Enlister product btw., found it in Xbox Store but it’s unavailable sadly.

I read the description for the BFV Deluxe edition more closely just now, and it seems to me the Enlister Offer is only included if you’ve preordered BFV:

    https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/news/all-you-need-to-know-pre-order-offers-editions-battlefield-5

So since the Enlister Offer is unavailable currently, it seems there is no way of getting those BF1 weapons. Unless one can find one in the grey market? Dunno.

@VOLBANKER_PC Pleased to hear that dude - I was worried I was about to make you waste money!

For what it's worth I've found a few when searching just now, but don't know how reputable these sites are.
  • @ElliotLHDuring post-release BFV there was a graph showing each BFV edition in comparison with what different editions included with check marks showing the various bonuses each edition had, and the five BF1 weapons were check marked under the "Deluxe" edition of the game when the edition existed.

Now the official page has been updated with the Definitive one which doesn't include a graph and I can't link it to show you, but if I manage find a snap of that graph on the internet I'll upload it. Note that this was a graph after the game was released, not as a standalone pre-order add-on like the Enlister DLC is.

I'm just looking for an actual confirmation from someone who actually tested this so I could know if I should look up for a vintage Deluxe key from one of these websites

I have a way to figure out this. Amazon are selling the xbox version deluxe edition BF5, maybe you can get that redeem code and the game. By the way I wanna know if the playstation or xbox edition could be used on PC because the BF1 collector's edition code is applied to all consoles and PC.

I just bought a BFV Enlister Offer DLC code online and redeemed it in Xbox.

I then set the DLC to download in Xbox.

There were no problems, and the pre-order weapons are available for me now.

Just in case others wants to do the same.

I had the preorder bonus, and then one day it was just gone. I even had stats showing that I had used the weapon before it disappeared.

I contacted support about it, they said they could see I had used the weapon, but that the people on support "didnt have tools to add it to my profile" since bf1 was "so old".

@VOLBANKER_PCIt's obvious that it's going to work with the Enlister DLC, the problem is that Enlister keys for PC aren't available anymore, the question is if there are any other means of obtaining the guns on PC besides subscription
