I am an XB1 player as well and this issue does happen from time to time.
I found a way to get rid of the black screen without leaving the game.
1. Press start and select options
2. Select Video
3. Go to Weapon DOF and turn it on or off
4. Then exit back to game and it will be all good
This solution has worked for me every single time and I hope it works for you.
Please give XP or accept as solution
Cheers

Xbox one, it's happens out of nowhere and my Xbox along with all my games update themselvesThat is highly bizarre. Are you running the standard Xbone OS or the preview version? Is your Xbone connected via cable or wireless to your modem and how full is your HDD?
I had a strange thing happen last night where my Xbone kept telling me that the OS had to update and that I couldn't go online but I was able to go online in both BF1 and Overwatch. Choosing the "close and stay offline" option (I'm in the latest preview dashboard OS) made the issue go away until I rebooted.
