I recommend trying two things, first do a hard reset of your Xbone by holding the glowing "X" button on the front of the console until the console shuts down. Then restart the console. this usually fixes bugs like you describe.
If that doesn't correct the situation turn off your router and unplug it for 3-5 minutes. Then reboot your router, sign back into Xbox Live and try to play again.
