Re: Can't hear bfh

Hey @CFRice15

Yeah, I was thinking about where you are supposed to choose the output of sound in windows:

Screenshot of what I mean:

I know when doing a clean install of drivers for Nvidia that it sometimes can change the output to what Nvidia think it’s the best.

Yea that is in its proper place. also, my call of duty classic on steam is not playing back sound now, and C&C generals is not even playable because it goes black when it loads up.

Hey @CFRice15 okay good that is correct. Interesting that Cod don't want to work with the sound. What kind of sound system are you using and how is it connected?

Do you mean software or physical stuff?
I think you mean physical stuff, so I'll answer that.
I have a splitter connected to headphones and a desk mic.
I did switch out the splitter for the headphones just in case, but that didn't work. Besides, It worked before.
I might try plugging the speakers in tho, just in case.

I think some windows update reset something, but bfh still doesn't work.
and now sometimes when bf4 is running windows minimizes bf4 and the sound goes away.
also, bf4 doesn't start in full screen.

so, I turned off the windows fullscreen optimizations, and it seemed to work,
    but now it isn't.

Try to do a clean boot it could be a program that is messing with your sounds.
