- So I've done everything that everyone here suggested and it hasn't fixed the issue. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Anywho, the fact that I have premium and cant access any of the china rising dlc is unsat. Someone from EA or Dice needs to get on top of this asap because this is apparently turning into an issue for a lot of people besides me. I've never had a dlc just stop working for whatever reason. I'll definitely be asking for a refund if this isn't resolved soon. Good luck to you other guys who are having the same issue.
- Anonymous12 years agoYeah I know what you mean, the only other suggestions I have is a factory reset (in system settings) but that would mean reinstalling EVERYTHING again I haven't tried this myself as I believe it will need a patch/update to fix.
I recommend doing what I did and contacting xbox support and attempt to get refund as they gave me £10 to buy it again but they have not/cannot remove usage rights so I have basically recieved £10 for my troubles until a patch is released, not much but better than nothing. - Anonymous12 years ago
I HAVE FOUND A FIX!!!!
So I bit the bullet & did a Factory Reset & it fixed the problem with the China Rising DLC not being picked up by the game, I will give you a step-by-step guide to what I did
1.Unistall ALL Battlefield 4 items (Game, DLC all Add-on)
2.Remove Your Xbox Live Account from the Xbox (This can be found by scrolling to the right in the 'Settings' section)
3.Clear Local Saved Games (This can be found in the by going to 'Settings' > 'System')
4.Your Xbox will restart after clearing local saved games.
5.Now perform the 'Factory Reset' (Found below the 'Clear Local Saved Games' button in the 'System' section)
6.Go through the initial Xbox set-up & sign back in to download your Xbox Live account.
7.Install Battlefield 4 & allow Xbox to do it's thing until fully installed.
8.Go to the Xbox Store & Re-install your Premium membership (Found in Battlefield 4's Add-ons section in the Store)
9.Start up Battlefield 4 & go to the In-Game store & select the China Rising DLC, it will show the notification prompting you to install the DLC like it does when the map packs are first released & you download it for the first time.
10.Let the DLC fully install (I kept the 'My Games' secton as my main screen with Battlefield running in the backgrond)
When you go back to Battlefield upon installation completing your DLC should be working good as new.
I hope this guide was easy to understand & hope even more that it works for you as well, if it does work for you please come back and post that it did work so others know its worth the annoyance of doing a factory reset.
- My only question is did you have to reinstall all your other games and apps?
- Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah afraid so, but it has fixed the DLC, when you download your XboxLive acount your download history will appear on the right hand side of the 'My Games & Apps' section its just a case of clicking install on them, so its time consuming but i asure you that nothing will be lost all your games, Add-ons & apps can be reinstalled easily & everything else (Game saves, game clips in upload, progress, stats) are stored on the cloud so is all retrievable.
So its annoying but only way to fix it as far as im aware.
- I've started moving all my games to my external hdd so I should be good. Thanks for the info.

No problem I'd move everything you can except Battlefield 4 you want to COMPLETELY REMOVE all DLC & Add-ons so you can do a fresh install, otherwise you might be keeping a corrupt file thats broken the DLC in the first place.
- It totally worked. Thanks for the help dude.
If anyone else has the same issue go to the first page of the thread and find his instructions. You'll have to do a factory reset but it works. - Anonymous12 years agoNo problem glad I could help.
