Battlefield 3 does not support in-game voip like you would expect from a PS3 or Xbox 360 where you can simply talk to your whole squad or team. You can, however, set up a group chat in Battlelog where people can communicate via voip, so if you play with friends you could use that.

If I remember correctly, they mentioned at E3 that Battlefield 4 will support voip in-game on PC.
