There are sometimes not enough players to populate the servers running DLC maps.

thats horse*e. i think the servers are not working or the game is glitched and EA cant fix it.

Ok thanks. I should have done a bit of research before downloading premium. Thats bad. I cant believe no-one is playing. I have never seen anyone else in the premium DLC maps. 40 quid down the toilet.

The numbers don't lie. As of my time checking http://bfhstats.com/ right now, the number was 813. As far as an online game is concerned, this is pretty much dead.
