Should i erase software in order for EA games to function?

Should i be an IT professional in order to play games?

I used to mess with that * when i was playing pirated games. Those days are long gone.

But What's the point of buying the game?

You have been supplied the correct answer to the question you have raised.

Run a clean boot and see if the error goes away.

Could it be more user friendly? SURE. But take a look on the internet and look at the choices of anticheat game creators can use. There's Fairfight but BF4 already uses this as well. Alternatively you can go the The Division route and just NOT implement anticheat, I guess, if you want that - I don't. If you manage to invent a multipurpose, effective, extremely userfriendly anticheat you could probably make some good money.

True, on the other hand you shouldn't have software that Punkbuster doesn't like. PC's will always have little conflicts, that's what you get for it being an open platform.

• delete it
• close it
• deactivate it
• update it
• turn off the feature the application has that causes this
• contact the people who created the piece of software and tell them that their software and Punkbuster is conflicting (software conflicts are hardly a new thing)

No. But like with everything else it doesn't hurt to know what you are doing while you are doing it.

But What's the point of buying the game?

EA doesn't force the community to play on Punkbuster enabled servers. Feel free to go play with the possibility of more cheaters on those servers.

That's quite normal. This is a community based forum. Gamers helping fellow gamers. You have not contacted EA support by writing in here but only written on a board run by EA. Besides, your problem has already been answered like 100+ times in here. Answering that on a weekend probably never would have the highest priority considering there's a search field 🙂

I do thank you for your response but when you quote a million other posts saying i need to start disabling software and meddling with my windows installation, it does not help.

Other thing, This site is "answers.ea.com" and not "community.guys.pasting.answers.from.other.posts.com" so please, get over yourself.

If you don't like angry pissed off people who bought a product from a company in which you don't work, don't act like you are EA or PB's support.

I paid EA. EA should answer this.

Again, nothing is personal. It's nice that you're trying, but you're perpetuating the bad coding and support EA and punkbuster has.

I can go around and fix safety features in people's car, but won't it be better to make the manufacturer recall and fix his own product?

This error occurs randomly. sometimes i can play for an hour. sometimes the error persists after a few minutes but connecting to another server, i'm able to play for a round or two.

you are saying that your "solution" is to waste hours and hours fixing a problem i didn't cause.

The worst thing is, you are marking it as "SOLVED" - that's not even funny.

PCs take time and troubleshooting, its the nature of PC gaming.  If you dont like the troubles that come with PC gaming, then maybe you should think about switching to console.

PS.  We DO have day jobs.  We take our free time to help other people, not inconsiderate, unappreciative people like you.

Time and Troubleshooting was never the nature of PC gaming, Unless you are using pirated copies. If the game works and then gets messed up by the distributors patches and updates, It shouldn't make me waste precious hours in fixing its *.

I'm playing BF since 2008. The amount of bugs and errors in BF4 is hard to comprehend.

Again, This is an EA website. So get your condescending attitude the * out of my PC screen and let the people who are selling this P.O.S. answer and fix it.
