Re: ERROR Game disconnected: could not join server. BF3

Hello,

I have some ideeas.

I suggest that you should download and run this one  and this one Run both of them and restart the PC after the instalation is completed.

Then try to join a server and see if it helps.

In case this is not working, I suggest to install Smart Port Forwarding   and do the following settngs:

  • open the software - a blank white windows should pop up with 5 columns (Protocol - Listen On - Forward To - Type - Running)
  • Right click on the Blank white window and a pop up should be present saying Add new Forwarding Port.
  • click on the new option and you should see a new window.
  • There are 2 selectable options : TCP and UDP.
  • select TCP and near it should be present a case labeled "Listen Port"
  • Inside that case type 3659 and click OK
  • Now you should see that the blank white window has a new set of options in it.
  • next repeat the first step (Right click-Add new Forwarding port)
  • Now Select UDP and type 3659 in the Listen Port Case.
  • Select OK.
  • Close or minimize the software and try to join a server without restarting your pc (there is no need for that.)

Thank you and keep me posted about this!

    Noup , still

    ERROR
Game disconnected: could not join server.
  • Hey,

Did you tried everything I suggested?

After you installed the redist 2012 and 2013 did you performed a restart?

Also, try to uninstall and reinstall the battlelog plugin, disable your firewall or at least set Battlefield 3 and Origin as an exception.

If this are not workning try this:

    • in cmd (Windows Search -> CMD ) type these commands one after another (watch out for he space between letters, because you need it)
    • ipconfig /flushdns
    • ipconfig /registerdns
    • ipconfig /release
    • ipconfig /renew
    • netsh winsock

After each command press enter and so on then after you managed to execute this commands, please restart your PC and try to join a server!

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have tried everything and none of it has worked, still not getting into games - starting to lose hope ☹️

I have tried all of the below

    1. Downloaded and installed Smart Port Forwarding, set up ports for 3659
    2. IPconfig in CMD - followed instructions exactly
    3. Downloaded and installed Vcredist_X64 and the other one
    4. Disabled Firewall, and created exceptions for BF3, BF4, and Origin
    5. Tried 'Game Boost' thinking that might help
    6. Restarted my PC about a 100 times... and still nothing!

Please can you give any other advise you can think of...

The only other solution to my problem is to change to my other ISP - Neotel, but the lines are slow and unstable which results in constant desync and having more problems.

    Please help

I'm closing this thread to stop it being necroed.

If you have any issues with Battlefield 3 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
