Same here, have tried repairing the game in Steam, installed on a different machine, disabled VPN/AV, delete "Sparkles" folder, only thing that has worked is to disable the internet and reconnect when the game is loading.  It must be something on the server side and from when they migrated from Origin to EA app platform.
