Do you have a screenshot and some details on what appear tiny? "Everything" is a bit undetailed.

If you are talking about the icons over players that is by design.

The size of the UI can be changed in the Advanced Gameplay settings now.

Decluttering the HUD was a feature from the CTE that was incorporated into this patch. You should be able to customize your HUD more fully in your BF4 settings now.

I shall have to take a screenshot once I start the game up when I feel like playing it but what I meant wasn't just the icons. Things like player models and buildings just seem ridiculously small. Brightness is affected as well, it's a lot darker.

The default field of view (FOV) has also been changed with this patch, so play around with that setting and you may be able to get it back to your normal view.
